I have recently purchased through a second hand bookshop a copy of Wilmington's Guide To The Bible. Whilst in the shop I thought the book appeared to be a great resource notwithstanding that it was published in 1981.

Once I reached home at looked at the book more closely, I now have reservations regarding its credibility.

Is anyone out there familiar with the book or its author? Any background info would be greatly appreciated.

You can look it up on christianbook.com and read a bunch of reviews about it. Hope that helps, but I'm sure there are people on Crosswalk who have used it and will hopefully comment on it.
