I'm cooking turkey, because that is the only time I allow it. I do not particularly care for it, but my husband does, so it's turkey!

Maybe he'll let me just cook a breast instead of the whole jagunda of a bird!

Anyways hope you have a Blessed and thankful Thanksgiving

We always have turkey but are also having a small ham this year because some guests prefer ham. :0)

We are having both because there are going to be alot of people and we figured that a little variety will be good and I like both and can't decide which I want to eat. I already have my ideas for the leftovers of both.

Some years we have had turkey and others we have had ham and one year we had both. When I was a kid, my aunt would cook a prime rib for Thanksgiving and they always turned out so delicious! Another year, my ex mother-in-law was on a no carb diet and fixed mashed cauliflower instead of mashed potatoes. The years I have fixed Thanksgiving dinner, we have had turkey. This year we are having whatever the nursing home my grandmother is staying at is serving.

Not sure yet--except it won't be turkey or ham. Maybe lasagna.

Grilled cheese sandwiches and soup.

Oh wait, this is Thanksgiving, so I guess it's turkey and ham.

Let's see we usually have a brined turkey, fried turkey, pork loin or ham, sometimes a beef roast, shrimp, and on rare occasions duck, goose or venison roast. It just depends on who is coming and what they are in the mood to cook.

We've upgraded to two turkeys this year. Neither are being done in the oven, to save space for other dishes. One will be fried and one will be a beer can turkey my brother is doing in the grill. He claims it's really good...we'll see. LOL

Mom stopped doing the turkey in the oven years ago and I am soooo glad! The smell used to do me in Now they grill it on the BBQ. Everyone who eats it seems to love it that way and the smell stays outside. Woo Hoo!

I bet the beer can turkey will be good. The beer can chicken is good.
