Please pray for Cathy, my 59 year old sister in law. She will lose her job on Jan. 9th due to cutbacks.
Please pray for our 31 year old son, Jon, who lost his job due to 'slow down' of the economy.
Please add the names of others you know who are out of work or who face the chance of losing a job.

I'll add my middle son Mike, who will lose his job Dec 1, just before Christmas and fears losing the home he and his family just got a few months ago.
Dear Father, we lift up all those who have and will lose they're jobs due to the economy. Father calm they're fear. Meet they're needs Lord. Help these hard times to draw them closer to You, and in the end end Lord make things better than before. You know each need Lord, and You know what is best, and we look to You to bless each one in every way that You know is best. Thank You Lord for all that You will do, for we ask in Jesus name. Amen

Father,
We ask that you take care of those who are losing their jobs—especially those who put their trust in You. Bless them and provide for them. Cause their future to be better than their past. Thank you. We pray for them in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

I will add me to the list. Need to find a job quickly, after 5 months of torture I have closed my company and just need to move on.
Father have mercy on us now as we as look for jobs, and struggle to keep our families positive and moving forward in these dry seasons. Strengthen us and help us to maintain a positive attitude for our families and prospective employers. Grant us favor in the search for jobs, as we walk in trust and confidence in your power of provision. We claim the verses of Psalm 37 that you will guide our steps, and not less us fall.
Thank you for hearing our prayers and we leave this with you in confidence, walking each day in faith.

Father God, I ask of you to help the people who jobs are being lost. I ask of you to set them on a new path, a path of which they will find a hopefully better job or place in you. Comfort them in these times father. Amen

I continue in prayer about this matter. You know without my saying how many people in my church and in my community have been impacted and are scared and hurting.
In this time father we turn to you, as our provider our Jehovah Jirah, we trust in you. Bind Satans power in our lives at this time, he is a liar, and we won't let him steal our joy.
Order our steps father, we claim Psalm 56.3, when we are afraid we trust in you.

Father,
Thank you for being our provider. We ask that you heal our economy and make jobs plentiful so that all who want to work for a living can work. Provide for those who are losing their jobs. Give stability to the economy. We thank you and ask this in the name of our Savior, your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Lord, we thank you for being our keeper. You tend to all of your children when times get tough and your are our shelter when the storms of life become too much for us to bare. Those who turn to you can always find mercy and compassion in your graceful gaze. Lord, I lift up to you all those who are suffering from the loss of jobs due to the recession our country finds itself in, as well as other factors. Look with mercy upon those who have become victims of tough financial times, corporate greed, and found themselves without a job to help support themselves and their families. Give them comfort so that they might not worry and remind them that you are with them at all times to protect them and provide for them. If it is your will, grant them new and better jobs so that they might be blessed for how they've suffered over what they lost.
Look down upon those who are losing their homes and other possessions, as well, and show mercy unto them. Especially those who were lead down a bad path by greed, regardless of who's part it was on. Show them your mercy and comfort them. Remind them that the greatest possession one can have is the one that no man can take away from them: Their salvation from Hell via the death and ressurrection of your Son, Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Lord, please show those who caused this economic situation the errors of their ways, be they our former Presidents and other leaders in public office, our business owners, the managers of our monies, or even ourselves. Make it a lasting impression on our minds to remind us of what has been done wrong. Let us all learn from this economic collapse and find ways to correct it and prevent it from happening again in the future.
Lord, please help our country's economy. We finally have a new President who will be coming into office soon. Help President-Elect Obama and his cabinet to focus on the struggles that this nation is experiencing so that he might bring an end to these trying times. Let the Democrats and Republicans in our Congress both work together with him to find the best solutions to straighten our economy out. Let them bring an end to the greed and short-comings of those who have led us down this path and once again make this country strong. Let them find new ways to create jobs and encourage our companies to create jobs so that your people can once again enjoy employment and the ability to support their families and themselves. Let them find ways to prevent those with power and money from cheating those below them, and help all people to focus on doing what is right for this country and those who live in it. And if this is your will, when it is done, Lord, let all who have experienced hardship as a result of our economy's falling out be willing to turn to you in thanks and praise for your mercy in showing us out of this dark economic tunnel and granting us relief. I ask this all in the name of Jesus Christ, Our Merciful Savior and Redeemer.

Please heal our economy and be with all of those who have lost jobs and others who are afraid they will be facing layoffs.
Lift them up and give them hope.
Comfort them and teach them to rely on you.
Bless their lives and surround them with your grace, love, and protection.

It's amazing how many people have been affected by the greed on Wall Street and the economy. But our God is bigger than all that. I'm struggling too (work for the automotive industry). I too am in agreement in prayer.
