Woot!

Let's get it going. Celtics will not repeat I tell you!!! ...

I'm banking on Cavs, Rockets, Lakers, Spurs, or Hornets!

They definitely will not. It will be the LAKERS, but don't sleep on the TRAILBLAZERS, HORNETS, or ROCKETS.

With my Sonics gone it is going to be a sad year!!!!!!!. I know that they have moved to Oklahoma but it won't be the same. Should be a interesting season though.

I feel for Sonics fans. Not only has the franchise been terrible over the years, now they are suddenly uprooted one year after getting Kevin Durant in the draft. If they do well in OKC, it will be an even tougher loss. Personally, though, I think they need another three years of rebuilding, before they are able to compete. They have three guys - Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and Nick Collison - , whom I really like. I feel they need a good solid inside scoring, post-player to balance that team out.

The Blazers will be good in about two more years. Their starting five is fabulous! But not good enough this year.

You're right, Bynum is scary good! I think he'll end up like Dwight Howard.
But seriously, I live right next to Philly, So I support the Sixers. I'm hoping they'll do better than last year in the playoffs. The Sixers pretty much blew their chance of winning in game 4. If they had won that game, I think they probably would have beat Detroit.

Being from Michigan I would love to see the Pistons win again but the players are getting old. Anyone winning the championship is fine with me as long as it's not the Lakers. I personally would like to see Kobe buy a European team like he was talking about then he can be a player, coach and owner all rolled into one package. Then when as a player he wants to complain about the coach and owner he can just stand in front of a mirror.

Wow, didn't know you could do that in Europe. Interesting.

I think the Pistons' sun has unfortunately set. The guys are still great team players and are consistently competitive, but they don't seem to have enough offense at times. That and the fact that they are older now and not as solid as before. They'll go down as a great team in history, having been competitive for a six to seven year period straight.

I like the Lakers as the favorite still. I don't like them either, but I have to admit they have a great team when everyone is healthy. It'll be scarry!

If you think the Pistons are old, look at the Spurs, lol. One year, the whole team is just going to retire all at once and the manager will be left scratching his head wondering what happened.

Should he stay healthy, they are gonna have the best starting 5 should it be: Fisher, Kobe, Odom, Gasol, and Bynum....that's SICK!!!!

Oh man, I did not know that the Sonics moved! I saw your post and I was like... okay, but I just looked on line and they're in Oklahoma! I don't think they'll do that good this year. Does anybody think Dallas has a good shot?

Nope! Got rid of the General. I have no respect for that. The problem was destroying their core to get Jason Kidd...threw off the chemistry....just like Phoenix getting Shaq...

Yeah, maybe. I still don't really get the Phoenix trade. Shaq was 2 slow for the Sun's pace. He just slowed them down. But my dad thinks that's one of the reasons that they traded for him. They were relying 2 much on their pace, and they knew that in the playoffs, it's more about strategy than pace.

Exactly! But everyone was reacting to the Laker trade for Gasol. Phoenix was looking for an inside presence to bang against him, but it never came to that.

Sorry dude, I don't like the Pistons after what they did to my Sixers, lol. I'm all for the Sixers this year. They should be pretty good with Elton Brand.

Lakers need to trade Odom.

Odom is non-clutch, turnover-prone, and defense-less. He's got wonderful passing and ball-handling skills, but he's just not a consistent, nor tough enough player to allow Lakers to win. Plus, his skills are unnecessary with Bryant, Gasol, and Bynum....They need a super defensive role player, who can consistently hit open shots and plays hard....guys like Tayshaun Prince, Shane Battier, Bruce Bowen, James Posey, etc.

I agree, but he does serve a purpose as a long small forward with the passing and ball-handling skills you mentioned. He may just lapse with his contract not being renewed. I was wishing back in the day to get Garnett for him, but they wanted Bynum, too, which was a no-no!

No way!!! They let Posey go to New Orleans and I think they'd have to have stayed in tact to do it again. The East is going to be a little tougher to get through and the Lakers are gonna be monsters and will go all the way with a healthy team...they are extremely deep!

Dallas messed up by letting Avery Johnson go. They will go NOWHERE!!!
