Bear with me a while

Though foolish I may be,

Jealously and greedily

I am betrothed to Thee

I fear that You will leave me

In my hour of seduction

Though I will never willingly

Submit to that corruption

You endure my deepest struggles

When my flesh betrays Your grace

Still Your love is zealous and holy

And You lead me to that place

Where sincerity is refuge

Devotion is beguiling

And I submit to You once more

With conscience clean and smiling
